Linda Middleton Homegoing Service – 12/23/24

Linda Lou (Schmucker) Middleton, 82, of Montpelier, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance with her daughter at her side. She was born on April 19, 1942 at the family farm outside of Fayette to Emerson and Laree (Miller) Schmucker. Linda was a graduate of North Central High School. On May 9, 1969 she married Frank E. Middleton in Pioneer, and he survives. Linda worked at Pioneer Transformer, Little Jumper and Howe’s Restaurant. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan, where she was the church organist for many years. She was a faithful Christian woman and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank; children Michael Middleton of California and Stephanie (Jeff) Dresser of North Carolina; grandchildren Jackson & Dylan Dresser, Rhianna, Aliyah and Rian Middleton; brothers Larry (Iona) Schmucker and Richard (Lois) Schmucker both of Pioneer; and sister-in-law, Audree Schmucker of Pioneer. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Firman Goebel, brother Ronald Schmucker and sisters Elaine Fiser and Jean Graber. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 925 E. Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan, OH. A funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at 12:00 pm at the church with Pastor John MacFarlane to officiate. Linda will be laid to rest at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer. Memorial contributions may be given to Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center or First Baptist Church.
